PHAROS · the collective side

OUR

The shared field a cooperative keeps together — as distinct from the sovereign field each person keeps alone.

Two fields, one grammar

PHAROS separates what is yours from what is ours, and never quietly moves things between them. A record belongs to one side or the other because its own metadata says so — not because of which folder it sits in.

I → AM → MY

The sovereign personal field. Yours alone, on your own machine, under your own key. Nothing leaves it without a deliberate act.

WE → R → OUR

The collective field. What cooperators have explicitly chosen to share, and only that. This page is its front door.

A lantern is a keypair, not a verified identity — so a person may hold several, one per facet of their life. A helm is the navigation surface inside a lantern. Trust is not a claim to have one body; it is your position in a web of signed contacts.

What is actually here

Stated plainly, because a cooperative that overstates its own size is not one.

Both lanterns are held by the same person. The mechanism works — keys, signing, verification, transport, the whole chain has been exercised end to end. What it has never carried is a second human being.

So OUR is, at the time of writing, a field of one. That is not a soft launch or a private beta. It is the honest state, and it is the single thing worth changing.

How someone joins

There is no signup form here, and that is deliberate — an account we could create for you would not be sovereign. Joining means holding your own key.

  1. Mint a lantern. A keypair, generated on your own device, that never leaves it.
  2. Light something. Sign one record that says what you are working on or what you need.
  3. Co-light with someone. Two keepers countersigning one another's work is what turns a pair of private fields into a shared one.

That third step is the one that has not happened yet. Everything before it is built and waiting.

The other surfaces

A keeper's own helm is private and lives behind their own door; there is nothing to see here without a key, by design.
